I've always loved painting floral subjects. I recently joined the American Society of Botanical Artists and its local northeast chapter to broaden my understanding. It is a real challenge to work up to the high standards of botanical artwork!  Shown above are some of my first attempts. Medium:  watercolor and graphite

"Nasturtium & Sparrows" watercolor - available as a printed trifold greeting card.

This heart shaped wreath is made up of the classic roses that form the ancestry of the many different rose hybrids we enjoy today.

Each of the bouquets above have flowers chosen to illustrate a theme. For example, the Butterfly Garden bouquet contains favorite nectar plants for butterflies. The Mother's Garden bouquet uses the classic Language of Flowers to spell out words of love and friendship.
